Physio led Strength and Balance classes:

These classes are ideal for those of you who:

– have been away from exercise for a while or have deconditioned during lockdown.

-are wanting to keep strong and steady as you get older.

-have noticed your balance is not as good.

– due to pain of a health condition would benefit from a gentle/adapted class.

The class consists of a gentle warm up, a cardiovascular, strength and balance section, a cool down and relaxation section. Each part of this class can be adapted to meet your individual requirements.

Well-being class

This year has been tough for all of us. Stress, uncertainty and threat has an impact on our mental and physical health. This class uses different well being practices from various backgrounds, in a supportive environment, to aid a sense of calm and to give you back control in the midst of it all. You will be able to learn and integrate them into your day to day life. It is ideal for those with chronic pain or a long-term condition or those of you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious. The class is based on the Capacitar approach. See here for further details:

Practices include:

-Adapted tai chi


-Breathing exercises, meditations, visualisations.

-Emotional freedom techniques (tapping).

-Finger holds, Head holds, hand murads

-Mindfulness meditations

-Vagus nerve exercises
